The name 'Mare' has been around for as long as folks wanted to shorten my first name, Marianne.

I am Marianne, the designer and creator of Eye Pillows by Mare. In addition to designing eye pillows and other items for yoga practioners, I also practice and teach yoga.

Eye Pillows by Mare grew out of my love for the practice of yoga. Creating items for others is one way I can share the gift of yoga. The concept for Eye Pillows by Mare began years ago while I was in yoga teacher training. Wanting to practice teaching, I hosted free yoga classes for friends. I started making eye pillows for my students and friends that participated in my first few classes, since they were held in a large conference room at a bank---not necessarily the most relaxing of atmospheres.

I have found eye pillows to be a wonderful addition to my personal yoga practice. They also come in handy when I have spent all day on a computer. Other people say they help with their migraines and help them to relax. I have even had one customer confide that she uses her pillow every single night to help her drift to sleep.

How to use and care for your new eye pillow

Mare’s custom-made eye pillows are a wonderful aid for rest and relaxation. In a reclining position, place the eye pillow over your eyes, creating soothing darkness. Your new eye pillow is effective for many things: just relaxing or resting, rejuvenating tired eyes, or simply falling to sleep. The weight of the organic flaxseed inside the soft, luxurious cover gently presses against your eyes and forehead, helping to release tension in the body. The pillow may also contain dried organic lavender and essential oils.

Care Tips:

Clean with a lint brush or spot clean with a damp cloth. Due to the natural contents, do not machine wash. Over time the scented eye pillows, like any perfume, will dissipate. To renew scented eye pillows, place only a few drops of essential oil on the pillow corners or seam.

Cool therapy: Wrap in a plastic bag and place in freezer overnight.

Caution: Do not heat scented eye pillows in the microwave. Placing heated essential oils near the eyes or face may cause irritation. Eye Pillows by Mare is not responsible for injury due to improper use.

We take pride in the products we offer and in the service we provide, and we fully guarantee all of our eye pillows against manufacturing defects. Your complete satisfaction is our top priority. If you are dissatisfied with your eye pillow, we will exchange it, replace it, or offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase. We will gladly accept unused eye pillows in new condition with original packaging as returns. Items received damaged must be reported and returned within 30 days as well.
